  • MDF and IDF rack work

  • Patch panels, cable management, and equipment mounting

  • Access-point cabling and mounting

  • Cable tracing, testing, labeling, and documentation

  • Locally recorded security-camera systems

  • Video entry and smart deadbolts

  • Hardwired door contacts, motion sensors, and water detection

  • Garage-door status and control

  • Gate and detached-building connectivity

  • New-construction planning, rough-in, trim, testing, and commissioning

No Subscriptions, No Recurring Fees, Full System Ownership

Standard BDElectric residential systems are designed so the homeowner owns the equipment and system accounts without a required BDElectric subscription, mandatory cloud-storage plan, or recurring service fee. Core functions remain local to the property. Cameras continue recording, the local network remains operational, and hardwired security devices continue monitoring during an internet outage, provided the equipment still has power. Internet service is still required for remote viewing, off-site notifications, software updates, and certain optional features.

Residential Pricing Estimates

One Cat6 Connection — Estimated $200*
One finished, labeled, and tested wired connection for an office, television, camera, access point, or other network device.

Four Cat6 Connections — Estimated $600*
A better per-connection value when multiple runs can be completed during the same project. Common uses include home offices, entertainment areas, camera preparation, access-point preparation, or connecting several rooms to one central location.

Residential Network & Camera Package — Estimated $5,600*
An entry-level complete UniFi system designed to provide predictable wired connectivity, one hardwired wireless access point, professionally installed camera coverage, local recording, remote access, and room for future expansion.

A typical package includes:

  • UniFi gateway

  • Managed PoE switching

  • One hardwired wireless access point

  • Four hardwired exterior cameras

  • Local video recorder and storage

  • Two finished Cat6 connections at one selected office, media, or living-space location

  • Central equipment mounting

  • UPS backup

  • Cabling, termination, labeling, testing, and configuration

  • Homeowner account transfer and system training

*Pricing shown is an initial planning estimate based on normal residential conditions and reasonably accessible cable pathways. Final pricing is determined after site review and may vary based on construction type, route access, cable length, equipment location, mounting requirements, finish conditions, and final project scope.

Planning a home project or trying to correct a system that never worked properly? Send the property details, photographs, plans, and desired outcome.

Facilities and Operations

BDElectric helps businesses, property managers, maintenance personnel, and facilities teams install, expand, integrate, and troubleshoot the low-voltage systems their properties depend on.

Services Include

  • Security cameras and local video recording

  • Access control and credentialed entry

  • Video entry and intercom systems

  • Electric strikes, door-position monitoring, and request-to-exit devices

  • Automatic-door, garage-door, and gate-operator interfaces

  • Hardwired security and environmental monitoring

  • Network cabling, equipment infrastructure, and telecom-room cleanup

  • Relay logic, control wiring, and system expansion

  • Existing-system documentation

  • Troubleshooting systems installed by multiple contractors

Integrated System Troubleshooting

Many building problems involve more than one device or trade. An automatic opening may depend on the operator, access controller, electric lock, activation device, safety sensors, relays, power, wiring, programming, and physical alignment of the opening. BDElectric evaluates the intended sequence of operation and identifies where the complete system stops functioning as designed. The objective is to correct the actual failure, not repeatedly replace individual components until something happens to work.

Platforms and Technical Experience

BDElectric works in commercial video-surveillance, access-control, intrusion, networking, door-control, gate, relay, and related building-system environments.

BDElectric is an Axis Channel Partner and is owned and operated by an Axis Certified Professional. Current Genetec credentials include technical certification for Security Center Omnicast and Security Center Synergis.

Additional field experience includes UniFi, Milestone, Bosch, Cisco, Meraki, DoorKing, Ademco/Honeywell, DSC, and legacy telephone systems. Previous manufacturer training and certifications include Hirsch, DSC, Panduit, Fluke, and Corning.

Specific software programming, licensing, compatibility, and manufacturer-support requirements are confirmed during project review.

Service Rates

New-Customer Service Minimum — $250*
Includes local mobilization, the first hour on site, initial troubleshooting, and a clear explanation of what was found and what should happen next.

Additional Troubleshooting — $150 per hour*
Billed in 30-minute increments. Materials, replacement equipment, extended travel, specialty access equipment, and work by other required trades are additional.

*Standard business hours within BDElectric’s normal local service area. Established customers may receive account-specific terms or quoted project pricing.
